Holiday property photography in Norfolk - Valley Farm House

A big chunk of my midweek work (ie.not weddings) is commercial photography of holiday properties in Norfolk, we are lucky round here to have so many beautiful houses with amazing grounds but every now & then a property comes along which really takes your breath away.  This was so with Valley Farm House in Gunthorpe. The owner Julia phoned me late last week & asked if I could come & do some shots of the place for their new website so we booked the soonest available date in the diary and luckily enough it was a gorgeous day.  Another benefit of being a photographer in North Norfolk is that Julia had been recommended my services separately by two friends both of whom have commissioned me to do work for them, so thank you to Fergus (of Barnhouse Cottages) and John (of White Horse Farm), the power of word of mouth is strong in these parts and a lovely affirmation that I am doing my job well!I pulled up to Valley Farm House and was blown away by this stunning 16th Century farmhouse, it's a Grade II listed building set in 7 acres of beautiful gardens with 2 ponds & the River Gun flowing through it, a place oozing with character & old world charm. As an additional service I am offering aerial shots of any properties I photograph as part of the package at no additional cost (the air-time is included in the normal shoot time) so the first thing I did after having a lovely coffee & a chat with Mr & Mrs Ackermans is to get the quadcopter airborne & get some shots from above.  The plan view below really shows the extent of the property better than any land-based imagery could and the oblique view below that is great for showing the surroundings  (in this case you can see the sea in the distance which is a bonus!)Norfolk-Holiday-Let-001 Norfolk-Holiday-Let-002 Norfolk-Holiday-Let-003 Norfolk-Holiday-Let-004 Norfolk-Holiday-Let-005 Norfolk-Holiday-Let-006 Norfolk-Holiday-Let-007 Norfolk-Holiday-Let-008 Norfolk-Holiday-Let-009 Norfolk-Holiday-Let-010 Norfolk-Holiday-Let-011 Norfolk-Holiday-Let-012 Norfolk-Holiday-Let-013 Norfolk-Holiday-Let-014 Norfolk-Holiday-Let-015 Norfolk-Holiday-Let-016 Norfolk-Holiday-Let-017 Norfolk-Holiday-Let-018 Norfolk-Holiday-Let-019 Norfolk-Holiday-Let-020 Norfolk-Holiday-Let-021 Norfolk-Holiday-Let-022After I sent a link to the online gallery yesterday to Julia I received a lovely email back, below are some of the highlights from the email, lovely to know I'm hitting expectations!

Chris,We are having an early breakfast and what huge pleasure it is to watch those exquisite pictures at leisure with a good cup of coffee on the side.  I had not expected them to be there so soon for us to enjoy.  Great!Your pictures are exceptional, I love the way you have portrayed our house with all the old features, the colouring that makes it very much us and the detail that also makes it very much Norfolk. It is a feast to look at the house through your eyes and your sense of proportion.  We kept Ooooooooooeeehing and Ahhhhhhing and we would immediately rent this house for the longest of holidays..:-)!The drone pictures are incredible and so in focus, we could even see the sea in the far distance in one of them. The photographs showing just the one detail are amazing, they fully express the atmosphere I want the house to ooze out.  It says so much…With Spring regards,Julia.
