Personal Project - Cromer & Sheringham crab & lobster fishing - FV Samara - Norfolk Photographer

For a while now I've been wanting to document to crab & lobster fishing industry in Cromer & Sheringham, last Friday at 4am I started that project aboard the fishing vessel Samara.  Samara is operated by full-time fisherman, Marty Newlands, launching from Cromer beach with his strings of pots just over half a mile offshore.  Marty sells his catch in his own seafood shop in Cromer about 200 yards from where he launches from - The Gangway Crab Shop - highly recommended for extremely fresh, world-famous Cromer crabs & lobsters at great prices.  You can follow them on Twitter here.Next I will be going afloat with a couple of Sheringham boats, hopefully one from Weybourne and a couple more from Cromer (as long as I can keep up with the early mornings), watch this space!
