Aurora borealis photographs from Sheringham, North Norfolk, UK.

Wow, what an unexpected evening that was!I had a text from my friend & fellow pro photographer Simon Buck earlier this evening asking if I'd been out to try & see the aurora that was supposedly visible from Norfolk tonight, it was the first I'd heard of it so I duly went to the cliffs with tripod & camera.Couldn't see much more than a haze but on taking a 30 second exposure I could definitely make out the aurora.Prints of these shots are available from my gallery here. This was the first shot.... pretty cool...._J1_1355....so I came home after a bit & then saw an alert on Twitter that there was another solar storm due in 45 mins so I got all my gear back on again & headed down to see if it was any better - and boy was it better!  It was actually visible to the naked eye the second time round and just look at those colours!_J1_1404b _J1_1407 _J1_1415 _J1_1417
