Chaucer Barn Wedding Photography - Ceryse & Jamie
I had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful wedding of Ceryse & Jamie last weekend, the wedding was a two day event and I was there for both days, I know I go on about the weather a lot in my blog posts but literally the day after their wedding the tail end of Hurricane Gonzalo hit us with gales and plenty of rain. That's what I call good timing!Jamie & Ceryses' wedding was at the gorgeous Chaucer Barn just down the road from me, gotta love a local wedding! It was lovely to see Laura from Chaucer Barn as a guest at the wedding, along with plenty of other familiar faces. In fact virtually all of the other wedding vendors were known to me, the bar was being run by Hatter Events - aka Tom & Hayley Dixie (whose wonderful wedding I photographed in 2012), the catering was by an old friend (from way back in the day), the hugely talented chef - Alex Firman.By way of entertainment they had the superb close-up magician, Martin Hinchliffe (who actually had one guest in tears after she was blown away by his trickery)! On the Sunday afternoon we were treated to Dale Bullimore doing Michael Buble (so to speak!), superb voice and gaining some serious local recognition, the Sunday evening band was The Lee Vasey Band (who played at my own wedding reception). Ceryse's stepfather Keith conducts a last-minute weather check.... Jamie & Ceryse's wedding ceremony was filled with laughter, as it should be! Below, two of Norfolk's finest registrars, Dai on the right is absolutely fantastic at leading a relaxed and enjoyable service, his sense of humour really brings a lovely atmosphere to a wedding ceremony (although only if you can understand his welsh accent! ;-) ) On the Sunday we started the day with a pre post mid-wedding shoot on the seafront at Sheringham, the weather couldn't have been more perfect (OK, maybe the wind was a little strong but it wasn't a major problem)... The lovely ice cream man at the seafront invited us to make use of his van for some shots and gave Ceryse an ice cream as a wedding present (although in this shot Jamie is playing the part of 'Mr Whippy'!) Later that afternoon it was back to Chaucer Barn for the party with their family & friends, who'd have thought they would have been able to spend the afternoon in the garden at Chaucer Barn in the sun in late October? Wait, let me take a selfie....Below, Alex Firman, chef extraordinaire and some of the delights he rustled up over the weekend. Below, Ceryse & her mum with the girls that all work with them at their Sheringham beauty boutique - 'Cream' For the full gallery of shots of Ceryse & Jamie's beautiful North Norfolk wedding please click here.
