Cley windmill has new sails fitted - North Norfolk commercial photography
Today was a good day. A really good day.Today was the day that Cley Mill got her first new sails in 25 years, the sun shone all day, my friends Jade & Lucy came along to watch, I took some photos, we chatted with Carolyn Godlee (the owner of Cley mill), had some coffee, went for lunch at The Ship Inn at Weybourne (& had incredible moules mariniere), came back to the mill and I got to photograph Cley mill from above while still being connected to the ground (via a massive cherrypicker).Big thanks to Daryl Bunting of Bunting & Son Carpentry for give me a lift in their giant cherrypicker for some shots of the finished mill, what an incredible view. I will never forget today! Below, my friends Lucy & Jade came along to watch the sails being put in place and we enjoyed some lovely coffees courtesy of Carolyn at the mill - nothing like fresh, hot coffee on the saltmarsh in the sunshine with great company! Below, Carolyn & staff of Cley Mill and the chaps from Bunting & Son celebrate the new sails with a cheeky glass of bubbly!
