Commercial photography in Norfolk & Suffolk

It's been a while since I posted anything here about the commercial photography I do in the non-wedding season (and sometimes in the wedding season too, manic times!)

From large national companies such as RBS, Virgin Money, RNLI, Jack Richards haulage and Morgan Sindall to local guesthouses, hotels and restaurants, I enjoy commercial photography for the variation and challenges it presents.  Whether it's photographing Michelin-starred food or huge American military vehicles coming towards me at 50 mph I enjoy the challenge of making the subject look the best it possibly can while always being aware of how the finished images are to be used.  Composing images for use in advertising & websites is different from shooting for wedding albums or pictures for the wall - considerations must involve clear communication with the ad agency/designer to understand the orientation/crop/resolution that the finished images are to be used at, allowing space for copy (text) & logos where necessary and the message/feeling that needs to be put across.

I've photographed some fantastic Norfolk events, I've been the official photographer for the Cromer & Sheringham Crab & Lobster festival since it started three years ago, this year I was one of the official photographers for the Norfolk & Norwich Festival which hosted some utterly spectacular events, I've photographed Michael Palin & John Hurt for the Holt Festival, worked for Worstead Festival, Sheringham Carnival, the 2012 Olympic flame relay, the list goes on!

We are so lucky in Norfolk to have so many unique tourist attractions, I'm proud to have done commercial/PR/press work for many of them over the years - The Muckleburgh Collection military museum, Hilltop outdoor adventure centre, Bewilderwood adventure park, Cromer Pier Seaside Special poster campaign 2011+2012, the English Whisky Company, Pinewood Park leisure complex, and Splash Tropical pool to name but a few.

2012 saw my images being printed larger than ever for the famous Norwich department store Jarrold to advertise their new menswear department, the shots appeared on huge billboards, backs of buses, bus shelters & in magazines.  It was great to hear back that 'the Jarrold directors were overwhelmed with the photography - best they've ever seen' - always good to hear!

I've been lucky enough to travel round the country for the last few years photographing for Camp Beaumont & Kingswood children's centres, shooting for their brochures, websites and for huge wall-sized photos for the walls of their new centres, great fun working with the multi-national kids they have at these centres, at least I now know how to say 'Smile' in a few different languages!

The last couple of years I've given my time to Movember for the Movember Norwich group - doing promo shoots and photographing their events to help publicise this great cause.   The only downside to the Movember photography is that it means I have to grow a Mo myself and trust me it ain't pretty!

My commercial photography in Norfolk & Suffolk is very simply priced - the one-off fee includes the time on site, all post-processing and all finished high resolution shots supplied on disk with no usage restrictions or further fees.  The shoots can be either on an hourly basis, half day (4hrs) or full day (8hrs).  Please drop me an email if you would like further info on the prices for my commercial photography for guesthouses, restaurants, website photography, leaflet photography, advertising, advertising campaigns, etc.Further examples of my work as a Norfolk commercial photographer can be seen on the gallery here.
