Emily & Steve - a farm wedding in Lavenham, Suffolk - Suffolk wedding photography

Apologies now for having so many shots in this blog post of Emily & Steve's Suffolk wedding, I simply couldn't decide which ones to post s0 I picked my favourites and ended up with quite a few!  It's testament to what an amazing day Emily & Steve's wedding was and how many great shots we got - due in no small part to Emily & Steve's willingness and enthusiasm for their wedding photography - it truly is a two way thing!Their wedding was at Emily's parents' farm in beautiful Lavenham, Suffolk, it's always a pleasure to photograph a wedding at a family home and especially when so much effort has been made to create such a beautiful setting.  We started the day with a few preparation shots  before I headed down to the marquee to meet the lads and get in position for their wedding ceremony.   A ceremony made even more personal with the many wonderful readings by family and friends and music provided by the groom and bestman and friends.After the ceremony the guests congregated in the sunshine on the lawn for canapes and champagne before being ushered into the marquee for their meal of Park Farm lamb produced right here on the family farm and I have to say it looked and tasted incredible (as you'll see from the photos).  They had the great idea of nominating one gentleman from each table to be the designated carver and provided each with a green apron and carving knife.  While all this was going on myself, Emily & Steve took a quick wander to some barns nearby I'd scoped out earlier  (but not before Emily's dad came & chased us back much sooner than I'd have liked but I work well under pressure and I think we got some cracking shots!)Talking of which...here's some pictures....I won't be thanked for pointing this out but it made me chuckle - I spotted the smashed up doors in the above shot & thought they might make an interesting backdrop for a shot - I always appreciate the contrast of the pristine wedding dress & suit against a 'rustic' backdrop - as we were doing this shot Emily's father came to find us & was most amused that we were taking a photo in front of the barn doors which Emily's mother had recently accidentally smashed by reversing a farm vehicle into them!  Maybe not my best choice of background after all then!For the full gallery of Emily & Steve's Suffolk wedding photography click here.
