Richard & Sarah - a North Norfolk wedding at The Holkham Hall Temple

Richard & Sarah really put some thought into how to make their wedding memorable, from the amazing location of the Holkham Hall temple in the woods of the grounds of Holkham Hall on the North Norfolk coast, to the vintage theme including individually hand selected antique cups & saucers to serve their mulled wine & Jammy Dodgers after the wedding ceremony. We started with a pre-wedding shoot in the grounds of Holkham Hall with their fabulous dalmation Dudley blending in well with the snow!Richard & Sarah hired a vintage bus to carry their guests from the Victoria Hotel up to the temple, traveling in style!Once the guests were all safely dropped to the Temple we headed further into the Holkham estate to collect Richard & Sarah from the hunting lodge they had been staying at...Richard & Sarah arrive to cheers & whoops of their guests echoing through the woods...It was an incredibly emotional service, lit by candlelight, Richard & Sarah had both written their own vows, even the registrar was moved to tears & that's not something you see every day!The antique tea cup & saucers awaiting their fill of mulled wine. After the service it was back to the Victoria Hotel at Holkham for the wedding breakfast - gourmet Norfolk sausages & mash followed by this genius Heston Blumenthal-inspired dessert - each table was presented with a sandcastle-shaped sponge cake (lovingly & skilfully crafted by Richard's mother, Mary) and a box of icing/sweets/flags, etc to decorate - each one had a different theme & people really got into it.  Superb idea and definitely one for my 2010 top ten ideas for a unique wedding! For the full gallery fo images from this unique North Norfolk wedding click here.
