Sheringham Promenade Art & Sculpture trail

I decided it was time to get away from the computer for a couple of hours this morning so I grabbed a camera and went down to the prom to get some shots of the recently created art & sculpture trail (actually it's still a work in progress so watch this space!)I've been thinking for years that they ought to get someone to brighten up the drab concrete walls of the prom and thanks to Sheringham Plus scheme they now have and what a fantastic job they've made of it.Artist Colin Seal and sculptor Mitchell House have been busy creating the paintings and sculptures along the prom for the last few months (plus I believe there is more work to come from Tony Eadson in the form of recycled wooden sea-defence sculptures).I took a few shots of the murals this morning and wandering along to the next one found some people putting up another bronze sculpture and was really pleased to be able to meet Mitch & Colin and get some shots of them with their creations, talk about good timing!Below are a few of my shots from this morning, I love the way Colin has really used the spaces provided and how he's used the natural colours and textures to great effect (the cliffs in the scene below are the natural concrete being allowed to show through).Below, artist Colin Seal with one of his brilliant wall paintings - he also paints trousers & shoes! For the full gallery of shots from this morning please click here.
