Tamara & Dickon - a Guernsey wedding
In Winter 2012 I went over to Guernsey on a photojournalism workshop - approx 20 candidates all assigned a local business/person to follow & photograph for two days (with their consent you understand, we aren't stalkers!), I was assigned to Tamara Timothy, the Guernsey ITV Channel news anchorwoman, I had a great few days on beautiful Guernsey photographing Tam reporting on various news items - the top story on the first day was about some sewage which had been washed into the outdoor beach swimming pool - big news on Guernsey! A few months after I got home I had an email from Tam asking if I'd consider returning to Guernsey in 2013 to shoot her marriage to Dickon - of course I leapt at the chance!Arriving at Gatwick with literally 2 minutes before the Flybe check-in desk closed (thanks a bunch M25), I was very happy to get the flight over & was greeted at Guernsey airport by Tamara & whisked off to the wedding rehearsal in preparation for the next day. Tam's Mum, Jo, had booked me into the lovely La Barbarie Hotel. The next day, after a stroll down to the local beach & a dip in the pool I was raring to go, the weather was perfect, so enough waffle, here's the hard evidence of just how lovely their Guernsey wedding was....Below, Tam's mum Jo did a lovely reading as part of the service, sorry Jo, I know you won't thank me for this but you did have some great expressions during your reading!Back at the reception at Jo & Richard's house I probably got a bit too excited about the sweet table but seriously look at it - Willy Wonka himself couldn't have come up with something more beautiful (and tasty!)OK, bit weird to take photos in the ladies toilets I know but when the bridesmaids said there was something they wanted to show me in the toilets I couldn't refuse - how cool is this?!For the full gallery of Tamara & Dickon's gorgeous Guernsey wedding click here.
