The Watch House on Blakeney Point

I walked out along Blakeney Point many times and always wondered what it would be like to stay in The Watch House - a lonely looking place just set back from the beach and originally built as a lookout for smugglers and then used during the wars, later being used by the coastguard and now somewhere that can be rented for 3 nights at a time for a mini adventure.

Last year we managed to get a booking there due to a cancellation and couldn’t wait to get out there. Sadly one of my cats was taken very ill so we missed a couple of our allocated nights but even one night was a great experience in itself.

This short film tells the story of our stay and information about this well-loved little house, part of the North Norfolk skyline for many years…
