Amazingly for all of the weddings I've shot at Chaucer Barn since being a full time Norfolk wedding photographer (11 years this year!) this was the first one where the service was held in the beautiful gardens.  It was touch & go as to whether they would risk having the ceremony outside right up until the last minute but I'm so glad they did.  It may not have been a blazing hot afternoon but it was great to be outside!So after a wander around to get some scene-setting shots and say hello to everyone I headed upstairs to the lounge on the landing where I was really pleased to see their hair & make-up artist - the legendary Amanda Steed had set them up in front of the lovely big windows at the end - great light for me too! Now that's some  l-o-n-g  hair! I had to spend a little time getting some good shots of the shoes, I mean, Manolo Blahniks deserve it!...and then on to some shots of Chris, the groom, his two sons Cameron & Alex and future father in law Kevin. Flowergirl/bridesmaid Rosie looked gorgeous in her 'princess dress' and was raring to get the wedding started!The guests arrived en masse on a coach and Chris & the chaps were there to welcome them...Once again the inimitable Dai Harrhy was the registrar, this time responsible for the serious business of writing the wedding certificate, but before the serious bit started Dai tried to surprise me while I was doing some other shots.  You've got be quicker than that Dai! While the guests awaited the arrival of their beautiful bride they enjoyed a drink on the lawn with a spot of football & table tennis thrown in! There seemed to be a lot of finger pointing at the presentation of the wedding certificate! Not only were we treated to the service on the lawn but we also had the speeches in the garden which was a really nice change (and gave me loads of freedom to move around for shots)... ...and before long it was time to be seated and for the guests to enjoy an amazing meal cooked by the lovely & talented team at AlexChef - one of Norfolk's very best wedding and event catering companies.The table names were film-themed as you may have gathered from the shots below! ...and finally on to the first dance (well, finally for me, the party continued long into the night), with the entertainment and live music provided by a lovely bunch of people known as The Blue Lion Band. Always nice to finish with a kissing shot, although in a break from the norm this is the groom kissing his father in law after a mix up with the father-daughter, mother-son dance!  Chris & Lisa's Chaucer Barn wedding was so much fun to photograph, so many funny moments and plenty of very poignant moments too.  Thank you all so much for making me feel so welcome, it was an absolute pleasure to play a small part in your great day.
