A Chaucer Barn Wedding - Fiona & Lee
It's been a busy week for me - three weddings in the space of six days (and this is supposed to be the quiet season!)Saturday's wedding was in the middle of the 60mph gale force winds and Tuesday's wedding of Fiona & Lee at Chaucer Barn in North Norfolk wasn't much calmer although as you can see we had some stunning skies and sunshine.Previously I had photographed Fiona & Lee on Cromer beach for their pre-wedding shoot so any concerns they may have had about having their photo taken were long gone and I knew it was going to be a blast! Fiona & Lee truly are two of the loveliest and most genuine people you could ever meet.I started the day with a few scene setters of the wonderful Chaucer Barn, not only is it a gorgeous venue but it's also only a 5 minute drive from my house, gotta love that!I headed up to get some shots of Fiona's preparations......overseen by Fiona's father, John, (with a sample of the cask of real ale they had just cracked open, it's a dirty job but someone had to test it was drinkable) Next I headed down to get some shots of Lee and his fantastic best man - Akis, never a dull moment!...entrusted with keeping the rings in a 'safe place'!Fiona wore the most amazing necklace - a little glass sphere with dandelion seeds and a tiny scroll inside onto which was inscribed - 'I wish to be with you always', the lower shot here shows a larger version of the scroll also supplied with the necklace. Love it!There were plenty of excited children and loads of great smiley faces, not to mention some photography competition! Fiona & Lee had asked guests to bring entries for their very own Great Wedding Bake-Off, they all looked amazing, I'd love to know who won... Fiona had asked me to bring the crystal ball for some shots since that was what caught her eye when they first went on my blog while searching for their wedding photographer, I was happy to oblige & we got some fun shots... The hog roast was nearly ready so it was time for the speeches... Everyone loves a brownie, this makes a great alternative to a traditional wedding cake, it smelled incredible!I'd just like to say thank you once again to Fiona & Lee and all of their guests and familes for making me feel so welcome at their wonderful wedding, it really was a pleasure to photograph and so lovely to meet you all.For the full gallery of Fiona & Lee's Chaucer Barn wedding photos please click here.
