Another perfect day in paradise...
I don't get out into the amazing North Norfolk countryside & coast as much as I should but when I do I make sure I take a camera & a couple of lenses. Yesterday afternoon we saw some sun for the first time in what seems like a long time I so grabbed some gear & headed along the coast road, stopping a few times when I saw interesting shots. My destination was the beautiful yet muddy saltmarsh at Morston, there wasn't a whisper of wind across the marsh so the sounds of the thousands (possibly tens of thousands) of geese all around were clearly audible. As the sun set the sky turned an amazing blend of oranges & purples, I was so carried away by the amazing light that I suddenly realised it was pretty much pitch black and I was out on the tidal mudflats with the tide coming in and had no idea where the path back to the carpark was! As I walked & started to make contingency plans of possibly having to spend the night on one of the boats moored out there I luckily found some muddy footprints of two cockle diggers I had seen out on the marsh earlier & followed the prints until they hit the path. Yet another near miss in the name of photography!
