Clare & Joel - wedding at Salle in North Norfolk
After spending a lovely hour or so at Blickling Hall with Clare & Joel for their pre-wedding shoot I was looking forward to photographing their wedding, we got on really well and I knew it was going to be a fun, relaxed day.I started the day in glorious sunshine at Clare's parents' home, the gardens were looking immaculate and I have to say I fell in love with their swimming pond, if only I had a bigger garden!Sadly the sunshine was forecast to give way to rain later so I put the drone up for some aerial shots while I could... Clare's beautiful dress was made by the talented, Norfolk-based dressmaker Katrine Mogensen Preparation shots complete I headed off to Salle Church, an incredible 15th century creation, huge, beautiful and full of incredible features, a real surprise to find in such a small village... Service complete, confetti thrown and everyone headed back to the Price's home for the reception.... People often ask me in meetings before their weddings, "So what happens for the photos if it rains on the day?", the answer is in these photos - we just get on with it! As you can see it's not the end of the world, it just means your wedding photos will be a little different than if it was sunny but there's no reason not to get a nice collection of shots to record your day... Many thanks to Clare & Joel and their families & friends for making me feel so welcome on the day, despite the rain I'm really happy with the shots we got, it's all about capturing the spirit of the wedding day and telling the story as it happens and I'd like to think Clare & Joel's wedding photos have achieved that (I just hope my cameras will forgive me for getting them so very wet!).For the full gallery of Clare & Joel's North Norfolk wedding please click here.
