Family holiday 2010 - Lanzarote

Apologies for all the delayed email replies and answerphone responses but we're now back in Brrrrritain and I'm all caught up after ten lovely days in Lanzarote.   This was our first visit to the Canary Islands but certainly won't be our last, what a beautiful place.  Lanzagrotty it ain't.We stayed near Playa Blanca, most days were around 30 degrees, some slight breeze but most of it was coming off the Sahara so was warm.Below, the Iberostar Papagayo - our hotel, I can highly recommend it - and the children went crazy for the Kids Club & Mini Disco - Chu Chu Ua dance anyone?!Below, the girls get stuck into a good book.Below, the view East from one of the bays by Papagayo beach, tastefully avoiding any sight of the nudists on the beach next door! The below shot isn't of a particularly nice beach but I like the blue doors of the fisherman's huts on the right and those skies were amazing - a real clarity of light over there.Below, the children were fascinated by this sculpture....for all the wrong reasons!
