The Duke of Kent visits Sheringham

The Duke of Kent visited Sheringham today to open the superb new town museum but before that he paid a visit to the lifeboat station where he was introduced to the many volunteers and watched a launch and recovery.Below, Lifeboat Operations Manager Brian Farrow introduces the Duke to Senior Helmsman Tony Webster.Below, the Duke meets the crew who will be launching the boat.Below, Tony explains the launch and recovery procedures to the Duke.Below, Margot tries the hat on for size.Below, after the lifeboat station the Duke moved on to the new Sheringham museum - 'The Mo' - named after the old bandstand area on which it is now sited.  The museum really is incredible, the detail and thought that has gone into putting together the displays is superb.The museum officially opens on Monday 29th March at 10am - who will be the first paying customer through the door?!  I'll be there to photograph them whoever they may be!Below, one of the museum's directors Tony Sadler gives a speech.For the full gallery of shots from the Duke Of Kent's visit click here.
