Blickling Hall wedding photographer - Catherine & Chris - Wedding Photographers Norfolk
A rare day of beautiful weather for Chris & Cat's wedding at the National Trust's Blickling Hall just outside Aylsham, what an incredible location for a wedding!Blickling Hall has the most amazing architecture and beautiful gardens, it is a visual feast and a photographer's dream, especially when the sun is shining.I started the day's coverage walking down the drive towards the hall, through the gardens, catching up with Chris & the lads at The Orangery where they were to have their wedding ceremony...Cat arrived in good time for the leisurely stroll through the gardens up to the Orangery where two very impressive young chaps were entertaining the guests with their musical prowess... After the ceremony, while the guests enjoyed champagne & canapes I went for a wander around the grounds with our bride & groom, it was great fun and despite Cat having previously expressed some reservations about not liking having her photo taken they were really natural & relaxed together for the shots, allowing me a good 20-30 minutes to capture these portraits of them both... After the grandeur of Blickling their reception was a really interesting contrast, a very quirky, colourful and down to earth reception venue at The Fire Pit Camp near Dereham. Chris & Cat had put a different bottle of rum on each table, a lovely idea & guaranteed to get the party started with a bang! During a quiet moment I broke out the quadcopter for a few quick aerial shots of the site... Some fantastic speeches followed, including Chris donning a wig for his speech, I can't remember the exact reason (something to do with making him more relaxed!), even more impressive was that Chris left the wig on for the entirety of his speech!Love these little tealight holders, made, I believe, from dog food tins, by Chris's very creative father (and artist) - Martin Wall...Cat & Chris's honeymoon suite - 'The Wren's Nest'....
